Political Science

Description:

The Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław is one of the biggest and the most dynamic centres of political science research in Poland. Since 2008 the Institute has developed also curricula in English. Both international and Polish candidates can join the study programme and obtain the title of Bachelor or Master in Political Science.
Since academic year 2012/2013 studies at Bachelor level are also offered by the Institute, with specialisations in:

– Comparative Politics
– Media and Politics
– Global Security
– Europe in the World

BA study programme will consist of six semesters: five semesters at the University of Wroclaw and one semester of mobility arranged within ERASMUS+ at one of the Partner Universities abroad (list of Partner Universities here).
Students will take the opportunity to study the most imporatant topics related to contemporary politics as well as key issues related to social sciences – taught by our highly qualified academic staff.
The Institute also encourages students to develop their professional careers during studies by providing them with the opportunity to have an internship. In order to accomplish it institutional partnerships with numerous, public and private entities are blossomed.

Application period

The admission for winter semester (October 2020) will be open on January 20th, 2020.

Deadline for application to all programmes*:

non-EU citizens: August 15th, 2020

EU citizens: Septemeber 15th, 2020

 

*The above information applies only to foreign students. Polish citizens (even if you hold two citizenships) are recruiting according to a schedule of polish language studies.

Bachelor level

  1. High School graduation certificate or equivalent with decision about nostrification (learn more about nostrification procedure here)
  2. High School transcript of grades
  3. Certificate confirming access to higher education in your country
  4. Certificate confirming  English Language knowledge on B2 level
  5. Passport photocopy
  6. Digital passport size photo
  7. CV*
  8. Cover Letter*

 

Remember:

1. All educational documents need to be legalized by Polish Consule or Apostille in the country of issue.

Legalisation 

Original certificate or its duplicate need to be legalised by:

1) Polish consul in the country where certificate was issued or in the country in which educational system a school operates;

2) educational authorities in the country where a certificate was issued or in the country in which educational system a school operates;

3) an embassy or consulate of the country where certificate was issued or in the country in which educational system a school operates located in Poland or in other EU, EFTA or OECD country;

4) if a certificate was issued by a country – party to the Hague Convention of 5th October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement for Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, an original certificate, its duplicate or a notarial copy with an Apostille placed on it or attached to any of those documents must be submitted.

Apostille

On October 5, 1961 the several nations joined to create the simplified method of legalizing documents through the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.

If your country accepts the Apostille (also called Apostille Certificate or Certificate) as a form of international document legalization your degree must be certified by Designated Competent Authorities.

Translation

2. All dcouments need to be translated to English or Polish Language.

Non EU students: 3350 Euro per year

EU students: 2000 Euro per year

Please note that in the first year there is application fee (150) added.
